Sommalier's Snob Free Guide to Wine

With Emily Wine

This session debunks wine misconceptions and dispels snobbery, empowering attendees to acquire the skills of wine selection, pairing, and pouring.
Our guest speaker, Joshua Orrantia, holds the WSET Level 1 Award in Wines and has a strong
appreciation for Old World varietals, particularly from Tuscany. He has worked with Dorner Family
Vineyard in Tehachapi, writing tasting notes and varietal descriptions to help guests better
understand and enjoy the wines being served. His approach to wine is simple; it is focused on
education without intimidation.

A chartered bus will take us around the Tehachapi area.  Jon Hammond will provide the narrative with his interesting perspective of our community history.  Bring your own picnic lunch.  We will provide the beverages.  Meet at the Cummings Valley Elementary School to begin the tour.

BVS Cultural Arts is pleased to present MGB, the “Mean Gene Band,” featuring special guest Steve Feller, a Billy Joel tribute artist, on Sunday, July 26, at 4 p.m. at scenic Cub Lake. Join us for a relaxing afternoon with friends and family, great music, and beautiful lake views. Poppi’s Pastrami Food Truck and Westlane Brewing Company are expected to be on site, and guests are also welcome to bring their favorite picnic baskets and refreshments from home. Donations are gratefully accepted.

In this hands-on class, renowned multi-talented Charisse Rudolph will impart the six fundamental techniques of recreational drumming. Through Rudolph’s guidance, participants will embark on a journey to discover their unique rhythm and cultivate a healthier lifestyle.

The class is enriched by MasterClass episodes featuring legendary drummers such as Sheila E. and Ringo Starr, providing invaluable insights and inspiration.
