Wesley A. Burcham is a seasoned photographer with over 45 years of experience, focusing the last two decades on wildlife and landscape photography.
His journey began at age 12 with his mother’s Kodak Brownie, capturing moments of family and pets. His grandfather recognized Wes’s burgeoning passion and gifted him his first 35mm camera in seventh grade. By age 16, Wes was already gaining hands-on experience, assisting a family friend who owned a local photography studio and covering weddings.
After high school, he opened his first photography studio with the support of his mother and local bank funding. Though he faced challenges that led to closing the studio during an economic downturn, he continued his career as a stringer for the Associated Press. Over the years, he contributed to notable newspapers, including USA Today, Fort Myers News Press, Orlando Sentinel, and Riverside News Press.
Wes is now renowned for his wildlife and landscape photography, capturing the raw emotions of wildlife and the serene beauty of nature. Through his lens, he conveys the essence of the natural world, blending technical expertise with a profound passion for visual storytelling.
His images resonate deeply with viewers, serving as both art and inspiration.
